Ventoy is what? The features of Ventoy
1. What is Ventoy?
Ventoy is an open-source tool for creating a bootable USB from ISO/WIM/IMG/VHD(x)/EFI files.
With Ventoy, you don't need to format the drive multiple times to transfer your files. You simply copy the ISO/WIM/IMG/VHD(x)/EFI files to the USB and boot them directly.
Advantages
- Create multiple boot files on the same USB
- Boot directly from the image file
- Just copy the image file in, and Ventoy will let you choose the file when booting the machine.
- Supports Linux, Windows, VMware, Unix, ChromeOS, WinPE
- Supports both MBR and GPT
Disadvantages
- No functionality to customize the name of the ISO.

You can copy multiple files at once, similar to moving files in your Windows GUI. Both UEFI and Legacy BIOS are supported by this tool, as well as most types of operating systems. The developer has tested the tool with over 550 ISO files, and they work flawlessly.
The application does its job without unnecessary menus or features, making it feel more like you're interacting with a file rather than a tool. It's unclear why Ventoy adds an EFI partition to the USB, perhaps so people can boot UEFI.
Ventoy doesn't add unrelated files to your USB to do its job. Ventoy displays all the ISO files on your device in alphabetical order. There are no unnecessary menus when using Ventoy, as it is a very organized application.
In summary, Ventoy is a versatile and user-friendly boot tool, suitable for users who want to create a bootable USB drive from multiple ISO, IMG, WIM, VHD(x), and EFI files.
However, it's worth noting that Ventoy may not be compatible with all systems and the USB drive capacity needs to be large enough to contain all the boot files you want to use.
